Update!

Dan and Dieter and Marcus and I plan to meet at 11:30 this Saturday at the Rest Stop off Exit 41 of Highway 403 on the east side of Brantford. There's a Tim Horton's and plenty of parking. I tried to set up a map showing our route. It's at https://goo.gl/maps/lb1Ao if I've done the Google thing correctly. Our plan is to drive up to Legendary Motor Cars, 8220 Fifth Line, Halton Hills, ON L7G 4S6, and visit their shop at 13:00. Legendary Motor Cars is well known because of the many tv shows about them. Their website is www.legendarymotorcar.com/ and some of the videos are available there. Then dinner together afterward.

We welcome U.S.A. friends from Detroit/Port Huron or Buffalo/Niagara.

If someone asks for more details, I will post here.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately I cannot make it as you and Diane know Linda has stepped up from a cane to a walker and now within the past year the wheelchair will be her constant companion when it comes to mobility. To this end I had to modify my garage adding the wheelchair lift you can see in the photo below. The situation is such that I need to be in close proximity until our daughter returns from her England assignment later this year. I will try to take my Blue Tornado on short one hour runs around town so that it will not become a garage queen.

Meanwhile I wish all of you a great and safe journey.

P.S. Do take lot's of photos and post them here to share with all.

Hello Dieter and everyone,
I finally got my pictures back from the processing lab. (Just kidding. But the other pictures were kinda blurry.)
Marcus and I had a nice drive from Brantford to Milton, Ontario. We met George and Jack at Legendary Motor Cars ( see www.legendarymotorcar.com ). They have dozens of classic cars, tightly packed in their showroom, but only one Mercedes, a silver 300SL roadster. A member of their staff took us an a tour of their workshops, which are clean and cheerful and very busy. Looks to me like they can do pretty much anything. In addition to restorations for customers and buying/selling of cars, they dabble in racing, so there were 3 race cars in their biggest shop.

Afterward, George had family commitments, but the rest of us went to Cafe Italiano in downtown Milton and met the local Don and his Consigliere. Nice, spicy Jambalaya, pasta and Gnocchi.
