Title: Pagoda in Viva magazine Polish September edition (suite)
Post by: Flyair on August 30, 2013, 21:20:49
Our car played the well visible second plan role in the recent photo session with one of the most popular Polish actresses Anna Mucha. Here are some of the photos from that session.

If you make an extra effort and are a seasoned observer, you may possibly notice - after a while - that there IS a Pagoda painted in gold on the photo as well  ;D

For the little story, MB Poland contacted me asking if they could have the car for the photo session. As, together with four other members of the Polish section of our venerable Pagoda SL Group I was departing on the day of the session for the event in Willingen, I proposed that they use a car that belongs to one of the members who (sadly >:() was not going to Willingen. For the session, his golden Pagoda received US registration plaque as it was supposed to take place in the US Wilde West decor.
The owner spent the entire very hot day on stage but told me that he enjoyed that time. Somehow ;)

You were not kidding - I think it took me 10 minutes to see the Pagoda hidden in the background.

The model reminds me of a younger Catherine Bach, (original Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard TV show), especially the one in the jack shirt holding up the sign post.

What an opportunity for the Pagoda owner.

What ... Were is the Pagoda (http://www.m3post.com/forums/images/smilies/iono.gif)

Joking aside ... thanks for sharing .... Very Good ... or as you say over there .... bardzo dobry

Ian, Actually the model reminds me of Brigitte Bardot,

See what I mean here ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Statue_of_Brigitte_Bardot_in_Rio_de_Janeiro.jpg

of course the picture would be super with a 230, 250 or even a 280 sl in the background :)

Ian,

You are quite right about the resemblance with Catherine Bach, not when she starred in the 007 Spy Who Loved Me though (see the pic below….)

And for the owner... You are right again :) he spent several hours under a sun and 35•C (about 95 F I guess) without a single complain.  He told me that at times he could not spot his Pagoda either ;D, as he was largely focused on the model :D

Great pics, thanks for sharing, they add to the "icon" factor of the w113.  If you didn't notice, look closely at the second pic where the photographer framed the guy's dark sunglasses in the rearview mirror stealing a furtive glance at her.  Great composition.

Best,
g

Enochbell,

good catch, I missed that one. It looks indeed as if there were some substantial preparation work before :)
