Hi all,
I'm putting my Pagoda back together after paint and I'm looking for a new hood emblem/logo, the one that bolts in the front of the hood. Any idea?
Thanks!

I think they are still available from MB, part # A113 817 00 16 and from places like K&K. They are shockingly expensive new though, so you might want to wait and see if any members here have spares or keep trawling eBay as they do come up there from time to time.

There was a recent thread on this. They are NOT available any longer. However, many modern MBs have similar ones available for more reasonable prices (the 113 originals were astoundingly expensive befor going NLA) and this is worth a look. Check size and fit.
A few years ago--2009--at PUB a large number of the Pagodas did not have them!

The sad story is that mine was still looking excellent, though both threaded studs were broken. I think I would have found a way to fit it. Unfortunately, I had put it on the hood temporarily while fitting some other trim. Once the car was complete enough for a test drive, I couldn't resist and I went for a spin. Of courde the hood emblem flew off and by the time I got back to it a few SUVs had driven over it. Not good looking anymore at all.
I'm OK to fit one from another model, but I was wondering if someone who alreadyt went through the exercise could tell me which is the best one, and if there is a way to have it fit without drilling another hole in the hoos (I saw some with only one threaded stud in the center).

You can see them coming up at eBay from time to time, but as far as I can remember, they were always offered as genuine parts by sellers based in various Asian countries No idea if there are any quality issues.
BTW, I just found one (showing Germany as source ) an the price is crazy indeed :'(

I bought one with that exact part number from MB in poole a few months ago - £32,($50) plus .70p for the nut and7p for the washer!
I have noticed that on ebay things (even for replica parts) cost more than the past from MB.?
Unless these are not the exact same as the early badge?

Is this what you need?...

as far as attaching to hood, I would just go with some automotive (3M seems to have a good hold on that market) double sided glue-tape used routinely these days to attach all manner of badges and other trim bits, rather than drilling additional holes. So removing whatever stud(s) don't line up with existing holes.
I bought my new badge about 10 years ago from Van Dijk for something like EUR 50 as I recall. Too bad to learn they are NLA, although it seems like something that would be very easy to replicate/reproduce. I wouldn't suggest the Group undertake to have this done as a Group thing, because I think the MB logo is involved ... :(

What! Really? That's crazy. They look similar to the later sl cars. Worth trying those? Like a 1990 s car? Not sure when they changed.
