Title: Project W111 update the engine is in
Post by: perry113 on April 09, 2010, 00:36:35
Many thanks to my friend George Cantzano for helping me put the engine and wiring harness back into Project W111. He has gotten through the rough waters. He is the man.

One more major accomplishment towards getting her back on the road.

Beautiful! One thing though, you had better get the left side brake line in now, or take the engine out and put the line in, or it will be next to impossible later. There are many pipes and hoses in the way.

Good point but I will make it happen.

I'm getting closer. I am in the process of making the main and return metal fuel lines. I bought 25 ft spools and was able to make flairs tonight. Got the return line 78 % in. Lots of fun.

The radiator and oil cooler are ready to go in. Got to think about getting an exhaust system.

Brake booster and master cylinder also on the list, along with the fabrication on the front and center brake lines. I will like the last 3 cars I did go with silicone dot 5.

Hope to report back soon.

Might also want to get the heat shield between the intake and exhaust manifolds. Looks great and is really coming along quickly. I am envious!

Heat shield is in.

Got the main and return fuel lines in and all fuel pump lines installed. Bought a 25 spool of metal brake line along with a bag of connectors and here I go.

Got the brake booster painted tonight. Ordered a new master cylinder and alternator today. Will get the final 3 brake lines fabricated.

Also got the rear interior panels and rear seat in. Wow, I finally got to sit in it. NICE!

More to follow.
