Exceptional work fellas... just got it yesterday, along with the back-issues I ordered, and the progress/improvements period-to-period are markedly apparent. Bravo, and well worth the price of admission.

Cheers... Brian

Issue 11 is by far the best of all the issues.  We, as a group, are really moving in the right direction.  Again well done.

Clearly us overseas members are dying in anticipation.... but I'm pleased to see the responses... If this issue is so exciting, please realise that it, like most things around here is put together by a small but merry band of volunteers. So get your quill, pen or laptop out, and write an article too! Put your sketch-pad, SLR-camera or digital snapper to good use. Produce some content for the next issue of Pagoda Notes, Pagoda World or the Technical Manual. Don't be shy!

Received the latest issue (11th allready) in the mailbox yesterday. Congrats to all contributors for the nice articles. Printing quality is very high if you compare with the first issues. My collection starts with issue 4, 2004. Maybe there's a way to obtain the first 3 missing Peter?
Regards to you all,
Paul H.

I don't believe there's any stock left... we are deliberately making these issues a Collectors Item.

Check Waqas'  post on Pagoda World back issue availability in the Announcements section: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=11537.0

Folks, thanks for all the kind words! It means a lot to me.

Thanks to all the authors: Bob Possel, Ray Hays, Phil Auldridge, Alfred Esser, Larry Hemstreet; the photographers: Ben Cosgrave, Kathleen Wagner; the proofreaders: Jon Bernardi, Mike Hund, Bob Possel, Alfred Esser, and Alison (my very own blue-eyed beauty, as per Bob's comment below :) )

Someone asked about what took the most time: I have to say editing the colors of each and every photograph until they all played nice with other photos on the same page. I'm really happy to hear that this effort paid off and folks took notice.

Please send me any comments about ways to make improvements, so that our next issue can be even better!

Also, we need much more material (articles, stories, photos, anything) for future issues, so please start working and send them in. I'll soon create an official submission thread with more details.

The cover shows Gus Monahu's red 280 SL (don't remember who owns the white one). I believe Gus has installed Xenon headlamps.

Short of the next issue having a centerfold pop up of a 1968 250SL Dark Olive/Cognac/4 speed... improvements are going to be tough. Excellent!

Hello All - - - You know, Mike may have inadvertently hit on a GREAT IDEA.    How about if we have a Centerfold Pagoda in every issue?

Those of us who think they have the photography skills to capture the essence of their car,  can submit photos to the board for review and selection.

Keep in mind, that since  Playboy has now reached a new low point in their publishing standards, perhaps we should jump in the fray.

I would love to be one of the first entrants, but I refuse to pose in a thong while laying  across my hood!

Regards,     Larry in CA

"Keep in mind, that since  Playboy has now reached a new low point in their publishing standards, perhaps we should jump in the fray."

If you are referring to the recent issue in which Marge Simpson is the centerfold, I can only say that this may give new meaning to the phrase, "I only get it for the articles!"

Waqas,

just to say thank you for the back issues that I got this morning. They are great as collection pieces and interesting for their contents.... as always. But... I must admit, their look confirms how great was the job about the last issue number 11.

Not only was it a big step in terms of printing techniques, but also a big step for the Pagoda humanity ;D
thanks once more

you became a full member on October 27 which was unfortunately too late for PW11, but you will receive PW12.
