Title: access to power antenna

Hello:  Can someone tell me how to gain access to the Hirschmann power antenna installed on the right front fender of my 68 280 sl.  I think the problem is just a bent mast since I can hear the motor when I push the switch under the dash.  The motor runs but the antenna won't go up or down.  I removed the right front wheel thinking that's how to gain access, but even after removal of the splash guard I couldn't reach back to the antenna.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi Don,
Typically, you can access the unit by removing the kick panel just forward of the passenger door. You will have to undo the retaining nut on the fender before you can drop the unit to examine it.
