Title: canvas hood strap

Gentleman,

I just had the "SL Tech hood bracket" welded onto my car and I am hopeful that this will be the last of my hood issues....thank you all for the suggestion on Gernold and for the advice....

My mechanic suggested I look int the canvas hood strap which is missing.  I have seen the pictures of the strap on the forum.  Is the canvas hood strap more cosmetic or does it actually serve to secure the hood.  Where can I buy this item.

I believe the canvas strap prevents one from opening the hood too far and damaging it and items around it.

I cannot imagine what would happen if a strong gust of wind caught a hood and forced it open past where it should stop.

thanks, as soon as I asked this I saw some additional "search" discussion that showed this and where I could get a strap.
