Many of you know Bob Hatch& sons in Hudson Massachusetts. There is an good article on his 3.5 liter V8 drivetrain conversions of two W113 SL chassies. I was not aware that the engine conversion only added 28 pounds yet added the athelic ability of 50 extra horse power to the chassie.

I do not want to compromise the article and hope you will pick up this December 2008 issue and enjoy this article as much as I did.

Sadly Hemmings is not available in Australia. However I did read a brief outline that two were built, a grand tourer and a sport SLR version . However little was shared in terms of the major differences between the two cars.
