Title: Magazine article about 280SL 3.5 conversion

In the December 2008 issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car, there is a good article about both of the 280SL 3.5 cars that Hatch and Sons converted, with associated pictures.  Very interesting.  He took two approachs, one performance minded and one more Grand Touring.

Saw that myself. Great looking job, and just as the article stated they both resembled a factory performed installation.

One car had taken a minor hit and made it easy to consider this swap, but that red car was reallllly nice before the swap started!

Anyhow it was an enjoyable read.
