Title: Starfest Autocross
Post by: psmith on October 11, 2008, 23:04:35
Here are some pictures from the Starfest Autocross at Thunderhill Race Track.  I had a blast and the car held up fine.  I think the kickdown switch saw more use than it's seen in years!

Hmmm...in years past, canvas tops up or down were not allowed in the autocross.  Had to have the hardtop on.  Gave me a great excuse not to wear out those Cokers.  ;)

Autocross? Here in NY, we call that driving in Manhattan.  :)

It never ceases to amaze me how much headroom Pagodas have. Even with a helmet and the soft top up instead of the hardtop, you've got plenty of headroom to spare.

In any event, it looks like a lot of fun. Nice to see a clean one being driven hard and enjoyed.

(And just having that special sticker I see in the windshield must improve your time by at least a second or two.)  :D

OK...true confession time.

They do have a rule about hardtops or roll bars, but decided it was ok for autocross, but I couldn't (and wouldn't) run on the high speed track without the hardtop.

And also, I'm vertically challenged, so I always have a lot of headroom
