Title: "Mercedes-Benz Classic" Subscriptions in the U.S.
Post by: tobacco on November 14, 2003, 15:14:35

DaimlerChrysler's very nice English-language quarterly, Mercedes-Benz Classic, is now for sale by subscription through the Classic Center, 01-866-622-5277.  Previously (and inexplicably) available only in Europe or through selected outlets, Mercedes-Benz Classic is a pretty well-designed package for anyone whose interest in the marque runs broad and deep.

I think Mercedes has published a number of limited-circulation magazines in the past, but this one seems the most polished to me.  The Fall 2003 issue is out now, and previous issues (I believe there are only three or four) are also available through the Classic Center at $5.00 each.

Have they ever featured the Pagoda?  I don't know, but I've ordered all the past issues to find out.

I subscribe to this publication, infact I just renewed my subscription. I understand from a friend of mine he picked up a copy at a Branes& Noble book store.
I hope they do more articles on the W113.

The W113 was featured extensively in issue 1-2003. Subscription price here in Europe is 22 euros and the quality is excellent. You can obtain a European subscription by emailing to mbclassic@prisma-direkt.de

I inquired of them how to get the past issues, and the only response was that "it is possible." Perhaps someone could post the procedure for this.
I agree the magazine is very attractive and well done. First issue arrived a week ago. It came with a nice watch as a gift.

Naj,
I believe we discussed this on the Club website. I have tried 4 times to subscribe to this, via email, fax and phone. Gave all my details and never heard a thing !

Some folk in the Club , and indeed here in Dublin, are getting the mag regularly with no problems !!

Dunno why !

My local Border's bookstore carries this publication.  To subscribe in the US you need to contact them and send a money order.  If you hurry you might get a free Mercedes logo wristwatch with your paid subscription.  Each issue now includes a reproduction of the vintage publication "In aller welt". Email at mbclassic@prisma-direkt.de for additional information.

I have a subscription through the Daimler-Chrysler in Germany.  Did the whole thing by e-mail.  They were very courteous, but DID take a while to respond to my English language inquiry.

You can order a subscription by calling Merecedes Benz customer service at (800) 367-6372.  The classic center won't take your subscription order.  You can also order back issues - the pagoda was featured in the January 2003 issue.

When I subscribed to the magazine, I had some problems with the rep understanding English. After the subscription went through, I sent an email asking "Are back issues of the magazine available?
The answer came back: "Yes, back issues are available."
Of course, I then asked how does one get these back issues, and there was no response.

My experience was exactly the same.  I called M-B yesterday and ordered the back issues I've been looking for.  $7.00 each plus tax and $13.95 for shipping (a little steep, but at least I'll have the complete set).
