Title: NEEDED FOR PHOTOS: Model Insignia
Post by: mdsalemi on October 03, 2008, 14:31:13
For the Pagoda book, I need some unattached (no cars, please, and PLEASE don't pry one off!!!) model name insignia; the aluminum part on the left side of the boot/trunk deck that reads:

230SL
250SL
280SL

They will be returned.  Contact me off line.

I have one of those small ones for the radio delete plate on a 280SL. Does that work?

Michael... good luck finding somebody with a spare 250SL model insignia.  If you do though, let me know... somebody I know has a 250SL with a 280SL insignia on it because he hasn't been able to find a 250SL one yet.

Hi Michael,
I have all three for you to borrow.
Let me know if you still want them.
These have not been pried off any car, but junked ones.

Michael -  In all fairness, I think that the book should also include a Model Insignia for Walter's 220SL Diesel.
