Title: wiper relay repair

my wiper relay sometimes works, and sometimes doesnt work._It is only about 6 years old-and I have never had my car in the rain more than a few times----------Can these things be cleaned-----------is this a common problem

The wiper relay can be taken apart and cleaned.  I surprised sucha new relay is causing problems.  Could it be something else in the circuit?

i took it apart and sprayed parts cleaner on it and then wd-40-it is  working okay now
