yesterday. For some reason the bloke "gave me an upgrade" and the car has been finished with Swissvax Divine. I googled it and it retails at something like £1200 a pot. The car looks good and smells even better - although the banana/coconut smell seems to be attractive to little critters

James, the car looks lovely! Nice colour combo too...

James,
Dare I ask where and what a non-upgraded regular detailing costs?
I've never had mine done but have been wondering what they could achieve that I cannot.

The guy worked on the car for over 7 hours (not as per the thread below) and the main thing in terms of finish seems to be the "correction". If you have swirls and visible scratches etc in your paintwork, the clean and prep, then correction, then finish is a huge improvement. It really is.
Unfortunately for me, part of my car was relacquered OVER swirls by a PO so the improvement is not as it could be. However, the inside (in particular the leather cleaning) is a great improvement. He also spent over an hour getting the soft top clean. It's blue again and looks amazing.
£350 from Gary at www.refinedreflections.co.uk - he did not do the work in the thread, but you get the idea of the "difference". Had I not seen it first hand (I had him do my 13 year old driver 2 weeks back), I would not have believed it.
