Title: is there a vin plate in doorjam on 1970 280SL?
Post by: cannillo on August 26, 2008, 09:58:55: Is there supposed to be a vin plate in the driver's side door jam on an 1970 280SL or is that something they added in 1971? Thanks!

Post by: Douglas on August 26, 2008, 14:57:08: The driver-sde VIN plate was for late-model US-spec Pagodas. I believe a European delivery car wouldn't have it in 1971.
