Title: Shift Gate.....Replacement

Any one know where to get an automatic plastic shift gate insert for a 1968 280sl.

I found a new one, but they want $ 85.00 for it.

Ya, I can afford it, but I have been affording too much lately.

I got one at Van Dijk two years ago and it was more reasonable than $85 though I don't remember how much. Try one or more of the vendors in our database:

Try sl tech in Maine I believe it was 40$.  Single cheapest most
beneficial aesthetic modification I've done.  Immediately after having it replaced, went to a show and not one of the 6 other 113's had an intact gate.  Not even the near perfect show quality car!

I received my new shift gate plastic from Ray Paul; 1-800-293-2358; SLClassic.com.  I believe it was about $40.
