I'm finally getting my brake calipers rebuilt by professional rebuilders after 1 year of talking about it.
I'm about to take off the calipers but I have a quick question for you guys. Is there a way to temporarily plug the brake lines while the calipers are out for rebuilding? Should I worry about the lines since the calipers will be off for 2 weeks?
Cheers,
Michael

You'll need to drain the front brakes in order to prevent it from spilling when you remove the calipers. Then you can simply use the brake bleeder rubber plugs (on either front or rear brakes) for plugging the open ends of the lines. If you're missing yours, these can be found at most auto stores (Napa etc).
Brake fluid absorbs moisture, so I would recommend you completely drain and refill the entire system, in order to remove any moisture that may have entered through the front brake lines.
Where are you having your calipers rebuilt? Are you planning to powder coat them afterwards? May I ask what you've been quoted for the rebuild? (I'd like to have mine done as well)

I getting them rebuilt from Centric Parts (www.centricparts.com). Unfortunately they only deal with their distributors, so I'm going though Brakewarehouse.com. Since I live in California and Brakewarehouse.com is located in NY, I've been instructed to send it directly to Centric. I was quoted $90/each for the front and $80/each for the rear. I think it's for a basic rebuild as I just got the quote today.
Cheers,
Michael
