Title: auto gearbox problem

just been to see my friends freshly restored 250SL looks great.The problem is when you put the selecter in any position including reverse it creeps forward it also feels like its slipping. the starter inhbiter switch was fiddled with could it be anything to do with that. Many thanks Mike Rutledge

Freshly restored?  Sounds like the restorer should make a house call.
