Title: Gone but Not Forgotten
Post by: Richard Madison on June 11, 2008, 18:49:14
Here are three Pagodas that have seen better days...bad enough to make our cars look good.

These images are from the German Pagoda website www.sl-club-pagode.de

Warning: these are strong images that might create pain for some viewers.

The "Neckar" car was in the river for 30 years...looks it.

Like the Titantic preserved some of her treasure. It is a shame to think if cars could speak what theey would say. In this case a poor abandoned Pagoda was left to mother nature to be consumed to dust and forgotten  unless some one can rescue her from the ravages of time that have not been too kind.

OK,

The 230rotten1.jpg can be salvaged ... it does not look to bad (not worse than mine to say so). OK some sanding has already been performed to the fenders some time ago and the work was not continued - that's why it is rusty again.

The 113rotten2.jpg is most likely still good for a few pars - there is an original M127 II visible (or so ...[:0])

The Neckar230 theft is another story, of course ...

(Just Achim's humble 2 cents)

As a PPP (Perpetual Pagoda oPtimist), I have high hopes for my 113rotten2.jpg-- if I live long enough.
