I saw a nice black or dark blue SL going through the intersection in Ballard (Seattle) Washington tonight. Just curious if its any of the regulars.
So far in my travels I've seen a white or off white one in Seattle, a Red with black hardtop just south of Seattle, and a light metallic blue with dark blue canvas in Tacoma, WA.

Jerry,
We should get together sometime. I'm in Bellevue with a silver 280SL. Let me know if you're in the area. I'll send you my contact info offline. We had a great gathering 2 summers ago in my backyard of about 8 W113's and one 300Sl from Seattle Bellevue, Tacoma and Everett. Let's organize it again this summer.

Sounds good! Hopefully mine will be running by then. I got a "steal" of a deal because it had been sitting for ages after the ignition switch and apparently something else broke.
I'm still sorting out the "something else" I got it to tinker with...and now I'm tinkering.

I was in Seattle a couple of years ago for business in the dead of winter. Every day I was there, I would see a light metallic blue 280 parked on the street downtown. It inspired me to drive mine more in the winter as well -- fortunately, the weather in the Bay Area is more conducive to doing so!
