Title: Injection pump fine tune
Post by: bernafm on May 22, 2008, 04:01:58
Hi,

I have a 230sl and I have rebuild all the engine (new pistons, seals, valves,...). I have installed correctly the injection pump according to haynes book. The car is running well, but I think I can improved it. It is the time to fine tune it.
All documents I have seen talk about the screew behind the pump, but I never saw a detailed procedure to do the right fine tune. Can someone tell me how to do it or get it?

Hello, Bernafm,

Have a look at this linkage tour.

Having it correctly set up will help a lot to get a sweet running engine.

thanks,

All the procedures regarding the linkage have been done, but what about CO level at low and high rpm, low and high load?. How do I check and fine tune it?

Hi,

You can use the 'search' function on the top right of the screen to do a search on 'idle' or 'idle mixture'.

There are a few posts explaining how to adjust the mixture and CO at idle.

You have to get into the pump to change any other settings - not recommended!
