Title: what's in a name? "Spyder"

where does the word Spyder come from and can it be applied to our cars?


Someone keeps saying " spyder's looking good...and did you take the spyder? "....etc

Well, there are those that don't trust Wiki at all, but damn it sure sounds like a reasonable explanation! ;)
