Can anyone tell me what content is different between the MB "Service Manual" and the MB "Workshop Manual"? I understand that the "Service Manual" is the BBB. I recently saw an eBay auction that included "Workshop Manuals" but they didn't say what they covered and I'm curious...

Are you sure it's the same? Look at these item on eBay: 280226614784, 280226614456 -- Are these just the very early BBBs before they called it "Service Manual"?

These are early, in the nice ring binders. If you look closely, one is Vol 2 the other Vol 3. 3 has more information and the final bound (no binder) issues have all the info. Service and workshop are the same for dealer manuals.

There were many versions printed (and reprinted) over the years. Make sure you know what you are getting. We have other members near you in the Los Angeles, CA area, so perhaps you could get together and play show-and-tell with Pagoda manual(s) some weekend.

Uh, I'm in Wisconsin and I already made an offer with www.blackforestllc.com and Jim Villers to have everyone come here for a tech session. Be glad to share my manuals...especially the one on four wheels.
