Title: 280SL VEHICLE EMISSIONS PLATE

Can anyone with a 280SL measure the size of the vehicle emission plate which is riveted to the drivers side rear door jamb and mounted below the vehicle number plate?

Need the measurement as I would like to get a repro made to replace my missing original plate.
Already have received the repro vehicle number plate, so I'm half way there !!!

Mine is 30mm by 160mm

PS The text on my vehicle numbers plate is slightly different to that shown in the other thread on this subject.
The bottom line starts: "Tire pressure see inside trunk lid"

Is it possible to post a photo of your plate. Very interesting that the text is different. Ed's is also a 1970.

Is this the plate that measures 30 x 160 ?

Not a very clear picture of my vehicle numbers plate, but I hope you can make out the text:

If I am reading your plate correctly, the date on the plate is 1971, but your signature says 1970.Can you confirm the month and year on the plate ?

Was so excited to get it that I didn't notice "Tire pressure inside filler pipe cover".....
W113 doesn't have a filler pipe cover..just a filler cap.

The " inside trunk lid...." is correct.

You might want to make that correction !

For me, not a problem, I'm extremely satisfied with your product....
Possibly a change was made and you may want to confirm the correct wording.
If the 30 x 160 is correct for the emissions plate then email me with a price and I'll order.
Only diffrence from the plate picture you posted is year for me is 1971 not 1970.

Got mine about two weeks ago.....want to thank you !

Installed both the VIN plate and the emissions plate temporarily with VHB tape.
Need to drill and pop rivet them in this weekend.
I'll post some pix.
