Title: Nice Article
Post by: psmith on March 16, 2008, 01:11:45
There is an article in the March/April Star Magazine about the designs of Paul Bracq and the 113 in particular, page 82.  Also a story about Jeff and Debbie Allwine and their company Natural Auto Products, better known as cocomats.com.  I think we have been keeping them busy lately!

Hi Pete,

The article in the STAR about the 113's is very good.  Nice how the writer talks about the artistic side of MB and the 113's.  I wish he would have left out the comment on the finbacks.  Sort of ruins the article at the end when he was doing such a good job on his 113 build-up....

It was also interesting to hear about the tension between Paul Bracq and Bruno Sacco.  You can really tell the change in design direction when Bruno took over.

Maybe I've been looking at too many books about vintage Mercedes, but I've always liked the '60's coupes and, except for the vertical speedometer pod, the finbacks are growing on me!
