Title: Finally registered
Post by: Else1969 on March 06, 2008, 23:17:52
Hello everyone,

after many months of just lurking around the backblocks of the forum, I have finally gotten up the gumption to register and introduce myself. The art of lurking seems to be common practice, but your ( can I say "our" already?) forum is of such good quality and value, that I felt compelled to join. I don't know how much I will be able to contribute, but from a self centered point of view I know that joining will do myself and my beloved Else incalculable good.
Oh yeah, my wife (my even greater love...have to say that to keep in the good books) name our little car "Else" after my departed mothers middle name. Mum hatted her middle name and also hated those "funny cars whose roofs look as though the car had been rolled". I never did share good old mums sentiment about that one.
Anyway, some pics of Else for you to look at:

I'm now pretty chuffed with myself for joining you ladies and gent! :D  :D  :D

I only managed to open one picture, she looks beautiful.

Welcome Dirk

I've taken the liberty of fixing your pictures (and throwing away all the other copies). Have a look here for help on inserting pictures... http://www.sl113.org/forums/faq.asp#GetForum

Dirk,

Welcome to the group - ELSE is a great name for a car..................so many options I need to clean the car or else.... what else can go wrong...what else can I do............etc etc.  I`m sure many contributions could be put forward by our sharp minded members!!!

If you are a Brissy boy, contact me off line - there is another red 230sl round the corner from us (ours is blue).

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Peter, you can tell that I am a forum virgin; I even tried to post my first ewntry under New Member Ontros and failed. Thanks for fixing the picks and for your tips. I'll learn and improve....eventually.

Sorry George, I'm a mexican from Vic, but please don't hold that against me!

We are getting Else ready for the National MB-Club rally for the middle of next month at present. The run is from Albury over Mt. Hothom to lakes Entrance. Is anyone else from the group going? In any case I will take some photos and put them in the photo gallery end of April.

Same here.
It gets easier though... and the "welcome" emails were appreciated!
