Does anyone have the list of fuse amps by fuse number? I need to replace all my fuses.
I am blowing my fuel pump fuse intermittently, id don't have an electrical short, I may have a fuse that is low amps.
Thanks

Hey 230, you can find this info in your manual (if you have one!) If not, or even if, here is the 1-12 in that order according to my manual:
8
25

James,
Thanks for the info. I do not have the manual. What amp is the fuel pump fuse, 8? My fuse is popping and I cannot find the short.

Yes, it looks like fuse #4 is "fuel feed pump" = 8amp

A fuse question: the fuse diagram in the fuse box cover does not list any devices for Fuse #3...the wiring diagram shows this fuse as grounded and going nowhere if I read the diagram correctly.
What is Fuse 3 used for?

does anyone know of anyone selling a "set" of all the fuses? Seeing as they are generally now old and often have difficulty retaining good contact, I was thinking of replacing them all in one fell swoop

When replacing fuses dab a small amount of silicon dielectric compound on the contact areas. This will keep them from corroding so quickly. Also every so often give the fuses a twist to help clean them. Did anyone see the last set of fuse pliers on Ebay go for $90.00? Glad I have a set, they do make the fuse changing very easy. Before installing also take some fine emery cloth and clean the fuse and fuse holder contacts so they are clean. Sometimes you need to gently bend the holders in to get a little more tension on them also.

you can find all sorts of fuse sets in Ebay Express, at reasonable prices

Graphic66,
That was my $90. I have seen these pliers go for as much as $300.
Also, I think the two 25 amp fuses are short. You can only find them from sedan parts cars. No longer available from auto stores.

May be its me and I am doing something wrong. I have two orginal black fuse pliers early and late and can never get them to work. the short fuses can be purchased from buds Benz. It took me an hour to get the darn little sucker fuse back in. no wonder no one likes changing these fuses. The fuse numbers and discription should be on the back of the fuse cover under the plastic sheet of protective cover. It may also be in the work shop manual, but I have never checked this.
