Title: roof issue

the hard top got damaged in storage!!!! the drivers b pillar got smashed! is this an easy repair? we are lost and quite upset! please help! has anyone had to deal with this before? the glass is intact but the crome work and underlying metal is slightly bent. can any body shop ( smash repair) deal with this or are we going to need to replace the whole top? god what naff ****s we are for letting this happen in the first place.... please help

I think the chrome is still available. Have you looked for online sellers?

I suggest you look for SLS, MILLERS, BUDSBENZ, DR BENZ... one of our gurus online here, has a 230sl parts car.

Also there was an article written by Gernold about restoring the hard top worth a read.
