Title: Rear Axle Band Strapping & Clamp

Hello!

Does anyone have a pic or diagram that would show how to correctly weave (route) the band strapping with clamp for the rear axle boot?

I thought there was an earlier posting and diagram, but cant locate it :oops: .

I have my old axle parts hanging around.  I'll get the boot clamp out later today and take a pic and post it.

I also found this info and pic on the 190sl website.  Thanks Jim Villers!

1. Top left shows the banding inserted in the clamp with approx. 1" bent down under.

2. Bottom left shows the banding circling the hose.

3. Top right shows the banding in the U clamp. (Here Fritz added an extra item, that was to bend about 1/8" over before inserting it into the U clamp).
