the pictures don't do it justice (other than the one with the actual kid inside it). Those cars were a little bit of history. I can comiserate with the fellow that bid 5k for it. Though the price tag is a bit steep when you can own the adult size toy (a 190sl) of the same vintage for the same price. -CTH

WOW! A gasoline powered bumper car. Lawyers sure have taken the fun out of being a kid.
I still miss lawn darts and those little red and white rockets you filled with water and then pumped air into.

Schvegel, go to a ToysRUs and buy the air-powered Estes rockets. My daughter loves them. These soft tipped rocket are 100% air powered and you can get them going up about 100' and higher. The kids have a "blast" with them. I'm right along there with them.
