Apropos of nothing, here's the chorus in Meredith Brooks' "I Need:"

And all this time, I thought it was Janis Joplin's song "Mercedes Benz"...

Since it was released in 1970, we can assume she was referring to the Pagoda, wouldn't you say? Turns out she ended up with a 1965 Porsche...

Hi Guys,

Just one part of my checkered past, for a short time I helped out on the Little Princess Light Show at the Fillmore West; Janis had recently died.  How strange is life??

PPP- Pertinent Pagoda Poseur  Does 'a 280SL Mercedes' need a 'Meridith Brooks'?

I would like to know why she needs a 280 SL and not a 230 or 250 SL?
