How'd ja doo it?  Inquiring minds want to know.  Was the oil distribution line by the cam shaft plugged?  Filter?  Oil pump?  Oil level?  Dirty oil?  Was it just one cylinder(hard to tell from photos)???? :evil:  :evil:  :evil:  :evil:  :evil:  :evil:

nix coley overtakeing at 5000 rpm.looked for acme valve glue and piston filler in the local sl bodgers shop but they had sold out. fortunately i had a good spare engine in the cellar so shes back on the road.

Hello ejm,

Looks like you dropped an valve in number five cylinder. Usually happens after a valve guide comes loose in the head and the car is kept in use. Eventually things wear, shake and rattle around so much that the keepers let go dropping the valve for  a short ride on top of the piston.
