I just noticed the manual says Havana Brown wasn't available after 1965. Mine is a 67 that came 408 Havana Brown.

Good catch, Jerry. I think there's an "urban legend" in Mercedes circles that Havana Brown was discontinued after 1965 because of the Cuban Missile Crisis three years earlier. I have actually heard that. I kid you not.

There's a guy I just ran across who has a '69 for sale and it's Tobacco Brown. He's owned the car since 1980 and says he repainted it the original color. Other than that it's an all original survivor.
By the way he says he can document the 97,000 miles and he's asking $17,500.

Since it's the Technical Manual (http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php), if you are a Full Member, you can fix it yourself...
Read the News for Editors (http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.News) for a quick how-to.
Fixing it is quicker than posting a forum message!
I just checked it on the Glasurit on-line Colour database and your right, Havana Braun was available until 1985. I've already updated the Tech Manual now, but you can --and should-- do this yourself!

still, discussing is sometimes better than just changing it. 408 havana brown was available for the W113 including 1967 (1965 was my mistake), but not until 1971.

Ok, ok, I agree, discuss it first... I hope you changed back the change I made then! I did look it up on the Glasurit site and they claim to have delivered it until 1985... possibly not on the W113.
Klaus, do note that I'm just trying to get more people involved in contributing to the manual!
