Hi Folks
I'm in the midst of putting the interior together on my 1966 230SL. I have bought a new set of chrome strips that attach to the top of the inner door panel. However I have no idea as to how they are supposed to be attached. Are they normally glued, or do I need special clips to attach them. There are no holes, etc on the strips.
I'm somewhat puzzled.
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.
Thanks & Regards

As mentioned they clip to the aluminum piece at the top of the door, with about 4 or 5 clips per panel and in effect sandwiching the vinyl (or leather) between the chrome strip and the aluminum. If you look closely at the chrome strip, you may see scratches to give you the location of the previously installed clips/ They are barbed and have a tendency to scratch when pried off. The clips are still available from MB, and the Classic Center can give you a part number.
