Congrats, Kayvan. Looks like Kent did you right.

(Good luck driving that in New York!)

it cant be a 250sl-it has side fender lights-also the dash board has rolled vinyl-the 250sl did not have side lights and the dash was not rounded-it was more square--------------nice car-but somethings not correct here

There are "early" and "late" U.S. model 250SLs.  I know that the "early" models have essentially the same steering wheel, chrome trim and hard door pockets as a 230SL.  Wouldn't the "late" U.S. spec model incorporate most, if not all, of the safety driven U.S. mods that became standard on the U.S. spec 280SL in for the 1968 model year, like soft door pockets, revised steering wheel and steering column, and side marker lights?

Dear rmmchl,

Mike is absolutely correct here.
Early 250ies up to serial 002979 look like 230ies and later 250ies (from 002980 on) look like 280ies with the exception of wheel chrome trim, square weave carpet and a few other minor things.
The side marker lenses were not illuminated on (late) 250ies if I remember this correctly.

Kind regards,

Are you planning to paint the hubcaps or going with the stainless steel look?

thanks for compliment!

_side reflectors not lights

-250 sl have rolled dash as well.  Was that way when i bought it.  Datacard says 250 SL

-Tried to go with chrome covers, but the paint really adds a lot.  Its expensive to paint as well, which is adowner!

Very nice ! I have an early 67 250 SL with no side lights (also hard pockets in door panels) but also have an original 250SL ad which shows the car with the side lights.
