Title: Power steering cavitation
Post by: 230slhouston on October 28, 2007, 19:39:13
Hi All,
Now that my car started and I had the front wheels on the ground when I turn the steering, it makes some serious noise. It sounds like grinding noises but appears more from cavitation. Similar sound I have heard in cars when there is low fluid. I checked this, it is full.

Off the ground, there is no noise, it turns smoothly.

Anyone had this experience?

Thanks MBP.

Sounds like the system may have some air in it and needs to be bled.
