Dear all,

Multiple members have received this message yesterday. I have already deleted the member.

Please note, that these kinds of messages are a general problem on the Internet. There is no (technical) way that we can avoid them. This person went through the hassle of creating an account, activating it, and then using the forum members messaging facility to send the mail... that is actually a lot more effort than just spamming a mailbox, so I suspect that now that I've deleted their account, this will stop.

In future, when you receive such a message:

Note: we have also recently been subjected to spam posts, advertising amazing sex toys, endowment extenders and fantastic pills. I have deleted a number of these messages, however someones account may have been compromised. I've asked the innocent member to change his password.

Should you come across forum spam, which we've mercifully had very little of so far, again just notify admin@sl113.org. I'll take care of it.

Peter

How do you delete something you don't want within these forums? I don't see a delete button.

Dan,

- Members can delete any post they make, and I believe threads that they start.  (Trash can icon.)
- Moderators can delete messages or entire threads.
- Webmaster can delete user accounts.
