Title: King pin dust seals
Post by: glennard on August 21, 2007, 15:21:12
Where can I get the dust cover rubber seals(to keep the grease in) on the top and bottom king pin bolts(that go in the upper and lower wish bones?  MB only has them with the whole kit for $150 per bolt!

Miller's has them for $12.50 each; it is part #55 on their exploded view of the front suspension components.  Contact Mike Ochoa at Miller's; he'll send you the exploded view (or if you have it circle the part you need and send it to him).

To add insult to injury, if I am not mistaken, not only doesn't MB sell them separately, but they only sell these rebuild kits in pairs--that's $300 you are talking now.[:(!]

Glennard:
Call Don at Maplewood Imports they have them for $6.00 each and with the club discount of 20% $4.80 each. They are in the sates and will arrive in 2-3 days from their ordering time.  Don is a joy to work with at Maplewood.  Phone number is 651 483 2681 (Don is the inhouse expert on the w113)

6 months ago Brumos sold a buddy some for about $12 each.  He bought an extra set for me so we can replace them when we do the springs in a couple of months.

Reading this forum, you get the impression that some dealers are "car guys" and others should be running a Wal-mart.
