Hi - I'd sure like to know what wires go to which terminals! 1963 230SL - relay is silver with yellow tape around it. the terminals are: DF, D+ & D- - the wires are brown, black and two wires wrapped together with colors of red and blue. Which wire goes to which terminal - I took stuff apart to "clean-up" and I forgot to write down the connections... Duh!!
Thanks,Harry

The BBB says wire harness colors from generator to regulator red to terminal D+, brown to terminal D- and black to terminal DF.
Then it says from main wiring harness blue to terminal D+ red to terminal B+

Don't worry about the blue wire in the picture being cut off. :(

Thanks Naj & Jeff - got it -
Now, silver relay on left front fender - I think it is time delay switch? Which wires go where? Only one wire is going thru the sheath & then goes thru firewall, one wire has round connector and third wire was bare (I taped) - there are 4 male connections on the bottom of the relay.
Help!!
Thanks, Harry

Can you see a part number on the relay (I think)? There a 2 relays in this area on my 280SL. One is for the mixture enrichment and the other is for the wiper motor.

Jeff, those relays are further in the back near the booster. This silver one is an aftermarket item. Harry, do you have an add on horn system? Like those flute type ones that are from Fiamm Italy? looks like this is a relay for the horns.

Walt, Is 'Stebel' the forerunner of Fiamm? My 65 has a 3 flute Stebel.
