Title: HELP! removal from "kuehlmeister" AC
Post by: r.bartl on June 21, 2007, 08:28:18
I want to install an automatic antenna (hischmann 2040) and the base is too big to go through the hole beside my kuhlmeister AC.
there is no way, that the AC will get out, even removing all screws.
what is the trick?!?

I have my mercedes technician beside me, he knows the cars very well, but has never removed the kuhlmeister AC.

can you help me quickly.
we will stand beside the car for your response...

thank you!

Hello Roman,

Which  part of the AC are you trying to remove? Is it the unit under the dash?

Roman, Have you looked in the far back of the blower motor for the A/C?  There is a large metal bracket that the fan motor and assembly hangs onto with a bolt to hold it up.  Is that what you are referring to?  Also the hoses could be pulled tight there.  Loosen them from the engine bay side and feed them through the holes in the firewall.  Only hangup there is the dryer which is mounted right on the firewall and has a short hose.
Please clarify the problem.
