Is it possible - within reasonable cost? My '71 280 SL's old A/C is dead - likey the system is totally empty. Not sure if it's worth the conversion costs. Anyonehave any input to offer?
I understand there were 2 different makes of teh A/C offering forthe SL's. What model A/C do you have? do you have A/C?

William, I have no experience with Pagoda a/c systems, but the general recommendations I've gotten are to stick with R-12 if the system only needs a refill or minor repair, but to convert to R-134a if major repair is needed. Cost to replace compressor and convert to R-134a in a 1973 Chevy truck was $750.
