Hi
Classic Chrome are a London-based dealer who currently have a couple of W113s listed as stock.
www.classic-chrome.co.uk
One of the cars (blue) has recently been on Silver Arrows stock at £40k but is not priced with Classic Chrome.
Another (silver) is priced at £30k - but appears to be a 1967 250SL with a 2.8 replacement engine. If this car is bodily in very good condition, can such a mis-match be worth it?
I would appreciate any advice as to experiences with Classic Chrome and in particular a specialist in the area who would give me a pre-sale report (assuming Classic Chrome would allow it...!).
Feel free to send details of UK cars in GOOD+ condition!!!
Cheers (and Thank you!)
Phil

When I bought my car from SilverArrows it was also listed at Classic Chrome
SilverArrows were not happy about it so i wonder whether this is the same sort of occurrence, or someone has literally bought a SilverArrows car and sold it on (but not back to SilverArrows) very quickly
I also note that one of the 280SLs he has on the site was for sale on Mercseller - the background is the Grove, veru close to where Richard of Mercseller is based (check the first picture at the bottom)

Check out www.colinferns.com if you want an inspection on that car.
Last time I was there they had 5 pagodas in for repair!

I am not up to speed with the rules of the site but I am sure that other members would appreciate your honesty.
If you wish to suggest people use Colin Ferns site, that's fine by me (not sure about everyone else) BUT please endeavour to do so under your own name or at least disclaim the fact that you are the owner of the garage in question. 2 of your current 3 posts are effectively advertising
Thanks

Thank you for your replies (!!!)
The Silver 1967 250SL has had a 280 engine installed at the time it was re-built, what are your observations on that?
Also, the car was re-built by (the now defunct) East London Classic Cars - does anyone have experience of their work?
Thanks again
