Hi there,
my name is Emilio and I writhe from Italy, obviously I'm a Pagoda's fan and after two 230Sl with a lot of problems, this winter I discovered that right one, for colour and conditions.
It has only two owners and the second for 35 years but he used his car the last time in 1979!
Last oil change was in 1974 and it covered other 3000 kms in 33 years.
The car is white 717 with red interiors, is a '65 230 with hard and soft top.
The general conditions are very good and only the radio is not original but of the period and the exterior mirror that is an aftermarket of '70.

Hello Emilio - congratulations! but also ... please read up on the information here about cars that have sat still for a long period of time. You may need to do a lot of cleaning/replacement work on the fuel tank and lines to the engine. Brakes, suspension, all of the rubber hoses, fan belts, coolant etc etc. Make sure the aluminium head has not been affected by moisture. And 33 year old engine oil ... When the oil and filter are changed, make sure the right seals are in place.
Keep us informed and ask anything you need to know.

Yes I have done it!
I have changed all the fuel lines, air/oil/fuel filters, engine/gear/diff./brakes/clutch oil, cleaned the water circuit and changed all the hoses, then I turned on the engine but there was some minor problem with same electric components and relais and, overall, in the fuses box.
I solved most of problems with a good oil spray, only the fuses box has requested a brake down, but it was a 3 hours of work.
Obviously I have revised the fuel pump (electric and high pressure) before start the engine, everyone was out of service!
Actually I am changing the head gasket because 30 years of water may cause some sure problem and with occasion I'm revising the engine head
and pistons ring.
I think for the end of this month to complete all the engine works.
The body is in very good conditions for the age, never painted and without rust at all, but need a repaint because small scraps on the aluminium parts and the inevitable signes of 100K kms.
I must take off the hard top for get a look on the soft top...
The car is very dirty, so I will have a good job for the next 3/4 weeks.
This is the second car that I find in an inaspectated situation: the first was, 4 years ago, a w111 cabriolet in a Rome's demolition center!
I saw it by the train near Rome, and in the time of 1 hour I was there. The car was abandoned for many years and so was destinated to demolition (I have the photoes with the writhe "demolire" on the glasses!). With a small present for the center's director (a bottle of whiskey) I bought the car for... rechange parts!
Actually it's completely restored but I must end the work.
If you like it, I will post other photoes of the Pagoda, its particulars and progressing works; for the moment thank you at all and exuse me for my poor english.
