Title: Quality License Plate Frames Please?
Post by: Tom Colitt on March 30, 2007, 12:59:15
Hi

Does anyone know where to buy a high quality frame for US plates? A customer wants something substantial, without logos, not just the chromed ones that cover the edge of the plate. His old ones actually looked more like a chrome picture frame, simple, but solid and high-quality.

Thanks.

Hi, Tom,

This is what I use on my Pagoda and on my wife's Mercedes.  I think it's nice quality.

I bought a really nice one from Autosport.

It's substantial, clean and has a glass cover over the plate.

While we are here ... how about a chrome euro-style front frame (as in -- where to find one?) Thanks.

Thank you all for your help. I have enclosed a picture of the kind of file that I am looking for and I think Raymond's tip at Autosport comes very close to what I was trying to replace. But, at this point I am also tempted to take a closer look at the other varieties.

Bob, thanks for the offer. I'll come by when I have a little time. I also need to pick up that valve cover sticker from you. Maybe we'll see you at the Beverly Hills show which I will be judging again.

Thanks.

P.S. couldn't post the pictures because it won't accept jpg. file extensions?
