Is there a way to adj. the air flow at cold starts?

  Thanx

I think there are a number of things that can cause a fast idle. I'd first double check the throttle linkage and be sure your constant speed solenoid (if you have an automatic) is set correctly. (and I'd also wait for some of the experts to chime in!)

It is a 4 speed, the problem is that there is no idle increase when the engine is cold.
 Thanx,  Lajos.

Also, do a search on posts about the 'WRD' or warm running device.
Check that the little air filter on the inj pump is not blocked up and you should be able to hear air rushing thru it when engine is cold.
May have to tinker with shims to get the air valve to open up a bit further.

Is the plunger adjustable by sruing it in and out (a specific height) as on the SPICA pups on Alfa Romeos?

Thanx , Lajos

There are no screw adjustments except one to limit the travel of the plunger.
It could be that the plunger is stuck in the closed position from a water leak or just disuse....

What model engine is it?

Hey Lajos,
I see you are from Colombus*, Ohio

I suggest you do a search for a possible solution on this topic. Choose a response by 'guru'  username ja17, Joe Alexander, from Blacklick, Ohio.

Heck, if I was in Ohio, I'd forget this site and use that fast idle to go to straight to Blacklick!!  :D
