Last year while judging the Mercedes-benz Sports class I had the opportunity to meet Tom Mcclair and his brother Steve. Tom put a lot of time and money into restoring a 1965 230SL that caught my eye for the rest of the show. This is one photo that realy does not justifiy the work I observed put into this Pagoda SL. I hope to display more pictures soon. although this car only placed second in class, it was a first class job and I hope that the Mcclairs will continue to show this SL as long as they can.

Paulr has one excatly like this, it is beautiful but its a 280. Navy with beige leather. Paulr will you post a picture to show everyone? Mine is not as nice but I love it anyway. Doesnt Naj have one like this too? Come on men, get posting.

Hi Bob

I have a similar car to yours in the UK and am about to replace my soft top. May I ask you what colour yours is in case I have overlooked a better colour combination. I am sure that I haven't as mine which is currently navy blue with biege lining looks fine but I thought I'd ask the question all the same.

your car looks beautiful by the way.

it's a good looking car for sure. I love black cars although I prefer the lighter interior.

I have ordered a navy top through Cedric at Roger Edwards.( my car is navy ) It's all I need now to finish my car off. The one on there isn't that old but it is damp and stained on the inside and the rear edges flip up, and its torn on the side. I will make sure that this new one fits beautifully before I drive off...can't wait.
