Title: Moss Green Metallic Or Not?
Post by: glennglenn on January 16, 2007, 08:58:32
I have a 280sl in Moss Green Metalic with bamboo trim, I am about to have the car painted, I have never really liked the green so I am thinking of having the car blue metallic. Have any members got a blue metallic car with bamboo trim, was it ever available? If you have can you please post some pictures? Or should I keep it green to retain the originality?

OK, you asked for opinions so that is what you will get.  I think the green/bamboo is one of the nicest combinations you could have, I would stick with it.  If you go blue I would want to change the interior to white.  Just my HO.

I assume you mean a dark blue, rather than a light...

FWIW, if I had my druthers, the green would be on my very short list of favourite colours for the car...

I REALLY LIKE the Moss Green with Cognac or Bamboo interiors but this is a subjective response (could it be because mine is Dark Olive (DB291) with Cognac  :D  :D  :D )

Just the other day I was telling folks to go with whatever color makes YOU happy... However, I gotta agree with the previous thoughts here -- dark green and bamboo is a nice combo. Also agree that a dark blue with parchment would be nice. Not much help am I?

Tobacco brown is nice.  But, heck with the paint, is that Ferarri in the garage yours too?

I like the Moss Green/bamboo color combo, It's a nice change from all the red or white Pagoda's out there. I'd keep it green, and if you wanted to make it stand out a bit you could change to alloy wheels :D

I've never seen a blue metallic w/ the bamboo interior but I like the blue metallic.   My car was just sprayed today 906 (blue metallic) w/ Parchment.

I better check my garage.... looks like it may have taken a trip to the UK!  I would keep it, but you need to do what makes you happy...
