Title: odd device under constant speed solenoid
Post by: hands_aus on November 07, 2006, 16:48:33
In the attached pics there is a device with a tube connected to it mounted under the constant speed solenoid.
Does anyone know what it is?

I don't recognise it at all.

This is not my car but pictures I saved some years ago.
It is a 250sl, LHD

Hello Bob,

This is a linkage input which is unique to certain years. It hydraulically increases engine idle only while turning the steering wheel at idle! Notice the hydraulic line going to the power steering gearbox.

Hey Joe

Thanks for the info. My RHD 250sl certainly doesn't have it.
I haven't seen it on any other Pagoda.

cheers
