Does anyone know where I can source a hub adapter for a 67 250 SL?
Also, are these model specific to 230,250/280 SL's?
Thanks

I have a Nardi wheel on my 66 230sl.
In the late 70's when I bought it, the original wheel was out of production and I didnt have another choice. The design of the mounting kits is the same now as the one I installed back then.
There are two different Nardi hubs, one for cars made before 1968, and another for after.
The one for the early models is a hokey adaptation of the later model hub. The offset is wrong, it places the steering wheel too far fron the combi switch for it to be to reached without letting go of the wheel. The horn contact is a brass contact brush that rubs (scrapes) against the existing horn switch. The two wires going to the switch need to be reversed and the adjuster cam bolt needs to be removed. The brass contactor makes a scraping noise and wears out quickly.
I had to make extensive modifications to this hub to make it work without making the scraping sound. But it is still spaced too far from the combi switch. I would not reccomend installing a Nardi wheen on pre 68 model cars.
I have installed lots of Nardis on the after 68 models without any problems.

I put a Nardi on my 71 280SL, and it is smaller than the stock wheel. I cannot see the speedometer numbers from about 60 to 120 without ducking my head down (I'm about 6' tall). Sort of dangerous, in my estimation. Either take a chance on speeding or take a chance by taking your eyes off the road.
Maybe they come in different diameters. If so, I'd opt for a larger one.

Joe,
Nardi does make different steering wheel diameters depending on the specific model. So can you can probably change it.
I also installed a Nardi and it was a bit smaller than stock which I wanted. It does hide the gauges a very little but I got used to it. Overall, I like it better than the stock steering wheel. I know there was 3 sizes for my Nardi model.
Cheers,
