dear friends,
yes, it's true, my wife and i are finally the proud parents of alittle 1970 280sl (auto) PAGODA. she is currently having some major plastic surgery done, with a nip and tuck here and there, she won't be ready for her "coming out party" until early spring, yippee! 8)
we can hardly wait to join the Sunday Drives in the Bay Area!
we owe a big THANKS to Bill Childers (aka LONGTOOTH) and Tom Colitt, for all their assistance, along with thanking everyone else on this forum, we could not have done it without all of you. (we could, but we would have made some very bad mistakes along the way).
many thanks again!

oh, god. Whatever you do, don't buy a 1970 Auto
The guys in Sindelfingen knew they were moving on to make the Panzerwagen and all the 1970s are the equivalent of Friday afternoon cars, lemons, if you will. Avoid them like the plague, all the makers were drunk, bored or being retrained on the 107 in 1970
Did we not mention this earlier? ;)

Congratulations! How about some pics?
